Five Faculty Awarded Information Literacy Grants

By Purnell T. Cropper | February 2, 2010

Five grants have been awarded to support collaborative efforts among faculty and faculty-librarians, promoting information literacy across the Arcadia University campus. These grants, sponsored by the Library and Instructional Technology Department, are designed to support award winners in the task of modifying a course to include a stronger and more integrated focus on teaching students information-seeking and research skills. A faculty-librarian will partner with each award winner over the next semester to plan outcomes and develop activities and assignments designed to teach and assess information literacy skills. This is the second year that this award is being offered.

The grant award winners are Dr. Cindy Reedy, Assistant Professor of Education; Kathy Trainor, Adjunct Professor of Education; Barbara Micucci, Adjunct Professor of Psychology; Adrienne Reed, Adjunct Professor of Theater; and Dr. Bette Goldstone, Professor of Education.
