Devan S. Weiss was awarded the Marilyn Riggs Meshach Memorial Award at Arcadia University’s 2010 Honors Convocation. The award is given to a senior for excellence in the study of Early Childhood Education.

“Devan’s observations and interactions in the field have shown an astute understanding of the needs of young children and exemplify the connection between theory and practice,” said Assistant Professor Mark Wade. “She has worked at an early childcare site for 2½ years while pursuing her undergraduate degree, and she is truly an advocate for the young child. She is actively involved in the Education Department’s Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society.”
