Arcadia Partners With United Healthcare to Offer Insurance to All Students

By Purnell T. Cropper | July 16, 2010

Arcadia is offering a new student health insurance plan through United Healthcare. The plan goes into effect on Aug. 1, 2010, for eligible, full-time graduate and undergraduate students, and went into effect on May 27, 2010, for Physician Assistant students.

We have contracted with an insurance broker, RCM&D, who represents United Healthcare insurance. RCM&D is contacting students to ensure, per the University’s requirements, they have health insurance coverage,” says Josh Stern, Chief Student Affairs Officer.  “If a student indicates she or he is uninsured, then RCM&D affords the student the opportunity to purchase a health insurance plan from United Healthcare.”

“We want to verify that all students are covered,” says Diana Bonner, Administrative Assistant for Student Affairs.

If you are not a full-time undergraduate or graduate student, and were contacted by RCM&D, please disregard the message. Some people received the message in error, and Arcadia has removed them from the list. To make sure that you were deactivated from the list, you may call Lori Rupp at 1-800-346-4075 ext. 1448.
