IPCR Grad Earns Second Arcadia Master’s Degree in Paris

Timothy McGowan ’09M, a resident of Warminster, Pa., was one of 26 students from 11 countries to earn the Master of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy on June 3 at Arcadia University’s affiliated program in Paris, France, at the American Graduate School of International Relations and Diplomacy.

McGowan graduated from William Tennent High School in 2003. He also earned a Master of Arts in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from Arcadia University in 2009. McGowan interned in the spring of 2009 at the United Nations Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization and last fall in the Governing Bodies Secretariat.

The American Graduate School in Paris (www.ags.edu) is a not-for-profit institution that offers U.S. higher education in France to students from every continent. Arcadia affiliated programs include an International M.B.A. and the Master of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy. Students also can earn dual master’s degrees in International Relations Diplomacy and International Peace and Conflict Resolution. Combining the two degrees into one program offers students a broader range of career options. Students gain increased academic and professional exposure in both the international relations field and the subfield of international peace and conflict resolution.
