Dr. Dennis Dutschke, Founding Dean of The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University, received the European Association for International Education (EAIE) Transatlantic Leadership Award at the EAIE’s annual conference in Nantes, France.

According to EAIE’s guidelines, “The award is given to a person who has provided significant leadership to educational exchange between Europe and the United States with a spirit of mutual understanding and respect.” Dutschke shared the award with Bill Davey, Professor Emeritus at Arizona State University, for their work along with Hans-Georg von Leimpd on The Transatlantic Dialogue, an opportunity for international professionals to explore and discuss issues relating to international higher education. The Transatlantic Dialogue was co-founded in 2005 and co-coordinated until 2010.

This facilitation served to further the mission of the EAIE, an 1,800-member non-profit organization that facilitates internationalization of higher education in Europe and around the world, as well as providing professional opportunities for international educators .
