Adjunct Professor Dr. Priscilla Jeter-Iles and Associate Professor Dr. Peggy Hickman of the School of Education presented a workshop, “Multicultural Education, Initiatives, Programs and Practices: Are They Working?”, at the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Association of Multicultural Education on April 12 at Temple University.

The presentation offered an interactive discussion of James Banks’ (1999) 8 Multicultural Benchmarks in education, as well as ways to use inquiry as a progressive and holistic model of assessment of the benchmarks in PreK-12 and higher education settings.
