While office productivity may drop during the 2014 World Cup, with soccer fans sneaking glances during the workday and others heading home early, it’s Chris Macchi’s job to watch the games.

Macchi ’12, who studied biology and played on the men’s soccer team at Arcadia, is a media coordinator with Major League Soccer. After interning with Arcadia’s Office of University Communications and with KICKTV, Macchi took the position at MLS in September 2013.

In an interview, Macchi discusses what it’s like to be a collegiate athlete, how he landed an internship with KICKTV, and why there’s never been a more exciting time to work in the soccer world.
