Robert Buscher, an adjunct professor who teaches Japanese cinematography at Arcadia University, is programming director for the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival (PAAFF). At this year’s PAAF, he enlisted the help of Arcadia students, including Fatimah Cassim ’16, Lydia Li ’16Christine Acurantes ’17Jedidah Flores ’17, Najmah Perkins ’16, Yasemin Simsek ’17, and Eun Lee ’17. The volunteers collected ticket stubs, handed out film evaluations, and provided information about the festival to attendees. Overall, the students agreed that it was a busy but pleasant atmosphere, and they really enjoyed the experience. As for programming, the festival introduced three new sections this year: food, music, and LGBTQ.
