With colleagues from the University of Colorado and the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Susan Tomlinson, assistant professor and academic coordinator of the physical therapy program, published a position paper in the Journal of Physical Therapy Education this past summer. The issue of the journal that Dr. Tomlinson contributed to was devoted to visioning the future of physical therapist clinical education.

Dr. Tomlinson’s position papers served as the platform for the Clinical Education Summit held in Kansas City, Mo., this October. At the Summit, participants from academic programs and clinical sites partnered in an effort to develop standards to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of clinical education.
