Model UN Students Awarded at Conference

At the National Model United Nations New York Conference in March, Arcadia students were honored for their work serving as delegates representing the country of Grenada. Olayinka Adesehinwa ’17, Spencer Alexander ’15, Anil Beephan ’16, Konstantinos Calliagas ’16, Stephen Doolittle ’15Angela Hibbert ’15, Sean King ’15, Ja Mayele ’17, Najmah Perkins ’16, Cynthia Perri ’15, and Timothy Randall ’16 earned the Distinguished Delegation award, while Doolittle also received an Outstanding Delegation award for his work in the Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations.

The competition consisted of writing resolutions and reports, negotiating with representatives of other countries, creating coalitions, and presenting resolutions within different committees.
