Abbey Ryan, assistant professor of art and design, is internationally-known for making a postcard-sized oil “painting a day” for her blog since 2007. Recently, her work was exhibited at the John F. Peto Museum in New Jersey, which later acquired her work for its permanent collection.

In addition, Ryan taught a professional painting workshop at the museum, and the museum’s Board honored her by inviting her to use Peto’s 19th century still life objects in her still life painting demonstration. More.

This spring and summer, Ryan’s work will also be on view in solo exhibitions at Mason Fine Art in Atlanta and Gleason Fine Art in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
