Student Voice and School Governance: Distributing Leadership to Youth and Adults, a book by School of Education Assistant Professor Dr. Marc Brasof, was reviewed in The Journal of Education Policy, Planning, and Administration in January.

“Marc Brasof brings to this book a background rich in democratic principles,” writes reviewer Sharon Wilbur. “Student Voice and School Governance: Distributing Leadership to Youth and Adults, as a case study, is grounded in organizational learning, distributed leadership, student voice, and democratic principles as theoretical frameworks to guide school reform.”

Published last year, Dr. Brasof’s book analyzes the lack of youth-adult collaboration in schools and the positive changes that occur when students and educators adopt a democratic system to co-lead their establishments.
