On July 17, Arcadia University Gateway to Success students crafted handmade birthday cards for the Jewish Relief Agency to distribute to homebound senior citizens throughout the year.

“Gateway wanted to participate in this event because it offered an opportunity for the students to give back to community and put into practice our program’s mission motto, the 4 B’s – Be Present, Be Willing, Be Engaged, and Be Yourself,” student organizer Daniel Rivera ’17 said. “It’s wonderful that we are part of improving the birthdays of hundreds of senior citizens. These cards let them know that people care.”

The Gateway to Success program encourages 25 to 30 students each year to become more self-directed and self-aware so they can successfully pursue their degree programs and advance their career goals.
