The Arcadia University women’s volleyball team is heading to the postseason after being selected to participate in the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championship Tournament. This marks the second ECAC tournament appearance for the Knights in three years.

The Knights (16-13) are the number two seed in Region 3. They will take on third-seeded FDU-Florham (16-14) on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. at top-seeded New York University (16-16), which will face fourth-seeded New Jersey City University (15-13) in the first round match. The winners will meet on Saturday, Nov. 12 for the quarterfinal round.

This marks the first year of the ECAC’s new tournament format, which will have 16 teams competing to be the ECAC champion. Previous tournaments saw only four regional champions crowned.

The Knights’ first and only prior ECAC tournament appearance was in 2014, where Arcadia fell in the first round at Marymount, 3-0.
