On Dec. 1, Arcadia’s Historical and Political Studies Department and International Peace and Conflict Resolution program welcomed Diplomat-in-Residence Usha Pitts to speak with students and University community members about careers in the State Department, the Foreign Service Officer Test, and various internship opportunities.

“At Arcadia, there are many ways to learn more about careers in Foreign Affairs,” said Elsa Lang ’17, a political science major and Foreign Affairs Campus Coordinator at the U.S. Department of State. “This was the first time in a number of years that Arcadia has hosted a Diplomat-in-Residence, as it is often difficult to schedule this type of presentation. Ms. Pitts has already said that she would like to come back in the future to reach even more students.”
