Tutdeal ’18M Moderates UN Panel on Refugee Crisis

International Peace and Conflict Resolution graduate Nyamal Tutdeal ’18M was featured by World Council of Churches on May 2 for moderating a panel that discussed potential solutions to the Sudanese refugee crisis. A visiting delegation from South Sudan Council of Churches shared the reality of life in war-torn Sudan.

Tutdeal, who fled Sudan at age six, settled with her mother and siblings in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1996. She is the first woman in her family to earn a master’s degree.
