Within a timeframe of six-to-nine months after graduation, members of Arcadia University’s Class of 2019 have secured employment or continued their education with regional, national, and international organizations and universities at a rate above the national average.

Approximately 87 percent of the undergraduate Class of 2019 responded to the Arcadia Graduation Survey, reporting that, of the 449 bachelor degree recipients last May, approximately 97.4 percent have secured post-graduate opportunities. Of those reporting in the survey, 72.9 percent are working, 16.7 percent are continuing their education, 5.7 percent are working while continuing their education, and 2.1 percent are volunteering/have embarked on service work; 2.6 percent of respondents are still seeking post-graduate opportunities.

The results show that Arcadia’s graduates from the undergraduate Class of 2019 have outperformed the national average. The National Association of Colleges and Employers reports an overall 2018 bachelor’s outcomes rate of 85.7 percent nationally, with 14.1 percent of bachelor’s degree graduates still seeking opportunities at the six-month mark, compared to less than 3 percent for Arcadia undergraduates in 2019.

Members of Arcadia’s graduate Class of 2019 have also outperformed the national average with 97 percent of graduates working and 2 percent of graduates continuing their education within six-to-nine months of graduation. The National Association of Colleges and Employers reports an overall master’s outcomes rate of 89 percent nationally in 2018, with 10.6 percent of master’s degree graduates still seeking opportunities at the six-month mark, compared to only 1 percent of Arcadia’s graduate degree recipients in 2019.

Arcadia undergraduates from the Class of 2019 have secured employment with organizations such as Americorps, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, L’Oreal, and the U.S. Department of Defense. Members of the graduate Class of 2019 have secured careers with organizations including Accenture, Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, and the City of Philadelphia. Those undergraduates who have continued their education are attending top-ranked or global institutions such as City University of Hong Kong, George Washington University, New York University, University of Edinburgh, University of Leeds, and University of Glasgow. Approximately 72 percent of undergraduate respondents reported that the Office of Career Education’s (OCE) resources and services assisted them during their student experience at Arcadia.

Additional outcomes information for both undergraduate and graduate programs from the past few years can be found on OCE’s webpage.

Through collaboration with organizations locally, across the country, and abroad, OCE has facilitated more than 5,000 employers seeking Arcadia students for approximately 36,500 positions through Handshake, the central employment hub for Arcadia students and graduates.  Additionally, over 185 unique organizations recruited on campus during the 2018-19 academic year through the OCE.
