Accelerated Physical Therapy Program

Beginning for Fall 2020 Cohort

The Arcadia University Department of Physical Therapy will offer a 25-month accelerated entry-level DPT program beginning with the Fall 2020 cohort. The PTCAS application period begins in July 2019.

What remains the same?

Our innovative, patient-centered curriculum and our goal of graduating clinicians with well-developed critical thinking and problem solving skills will not change. Structuring our courses around patient cases, and using those patient cases to emphasize relevant concepts and skills, will continue to be our program’s hallmark. Clinical experiences with mentorship, as well as opportunities for international and local pro bono care remain integral parts of an Arcadia DPT education.

What will be different?

We have streamlined the curriculum, reducing the duration of the program from 29 to 25 months. Cadaver-based anatomy will be integrated throughout the first year of the program, rather than as a stand-alone course. Arcadia DPT graduates in this model will be eligible to take the licensure exam and begin as practicing clinicians several months sooner than those in other program models.

I still have questions…

Come and visit us! We are hosting Physical Therapy Admission Information Sessions throughout the Fall 2019 semester. We’d be happy to show you around and describe our program in more detail. Or, contact us directly at 1-877-ARCADIA or ptadmission@arcadia.edu.
