Alumni Weekend is your time to return to campus and recall your days as a student. Whether you studied as a "day student" or resident, or graduated from Beaver College or Arcadia University, we look forward to welcoming you home on Friday, May 4, and Saturday, May 5, to remember, relive, and reunite!
This year, we’ll commemorate special milestone reunions with alumni whose class years end in a three or an eight, and we’ll celebrate alumni of all class years with a number of fun events and programs. We’ll also offer you one of the first opportunities to meet Arcadia’s 22nd President, Dr. Ajay Nair, as he and his family personally welcome you back to Glenside.
The weekend will kick off on Friday with a faculty-led discussion and breakfast on the tumultuous and consequential events of 1968, followed by a trip to Grounds for Sculpture, and ending with our President’s Welcome Reception.
Saturday will be full of fun for alumni, families, and friends as we begin the day with a champagne brunch and our Alumni Association Annual Meeting, which will feature a keynote address from President Nair. The afternoon will include a presentation on the architecture of Horace Trumbauer in honor of the 120th anniversary of Grey Towers Castle, campus tours, class meetings, and an ice cream social for alumni with the graduating Class of 2018.
In the evening, we’ll recognize the achievements of your fellow graduates at the Alumni Awards Ceremony and honor decades of Beaver and Arcadia alumni with celebrations spread across campus. The Arcadia community will then come together on Haber Green to cap off the weekend’s festivities celebrating Cinco de Mayo and enjoying delicious food, margaritas, and music at our outdoor Knight Market.
There is still time to join your class Reunion Committee! If you are interested in helping to plan your reunion, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 215-517-2566.
Class of 1968
For 50th reunion class members celebrating their golden reunions, the Memory Book is a wonderful way to maintain a link with their classmates. Think of it as an updated version of yearbook, filled with memories and updates from the members of the class. It is a great keepsake. Look for more information on submitting entries to be shared soon.
Class of 1958
For its 60th reunion, the Class of 1958 is asking classmembers to send their memories and photographs to the Office of Alumni Relations at email@example.com or by mail to: Arcadia University Office of Alumni Relations, 450 S. Easton Road, Glenside, PA 19038-3295, Attn: Class of '58 Memory Book. Submissions must be received by April 1, 2018.
Milestone reunion years are times when alumni come together to make a class gift to the University. Most alumni try to “stretch” their gifts in their milestone reunion years, and often, reunion classes will raise funds for a special designated purpose. United by class spirit and fond memories of Beaver and Arcadia, reunion classes often compete to win the coveted Reunion Giving Awards, and to enjoy bragging rights until the next milestone reunion year comes around.
