Homecoming provides a special opportunity for Beaver College and Arcadia University alumni to come back to campus, revisiting their days as a student while connecting with our current students and their families.
Held each fall during Fall Fest – Arcadia’s Family Weekend – Homecoming is chock full of events and programs that celebrate the Arcadian spirit and pride.
In 2014, hundreds of alumni, students, family members, faculty, staff, and friends reconnected at Homecoming events on October 10 and 11. Programs included the brand-new Alumni Oktoberfest celebration, the Second Annual Fall Beer Tasting hosted by the Physical Therapy Department, an ALANA Alumni/Student Dessert Reception, and a networking happy hour for alumni who serve as members of the University faculty and professional staff.
The women’s field hockey and the men’s and women’s soccer teams played in Homecoming games on Easton Field, and alumni joined students and families for some late-night Bingo Mania. Members of the community and alumni also enjoyed the sounds of Trio Montage at the annual Dr. F. William and Martha-Lee Sunderman Chamber Music Concert, and had the opportunity to view works by faculty members in the Department of Art & Design on display in the Spruance Fine Arts Center.
The weekend was capped off with a fireworks display over Grey Towers Castle sponsored by the Arcadia University Alumni Association.
