Similar to a professional artist residency, the Arcadia Undergraduate Artist Residency provides you with a unique opportunity for dedicated studio time and a nurturing environment to do what you do best: create, strengthen your artistic practice, and build your portfolio.
As long as public health conditions allow, the Residency will be run in person on the Glenside campus from July 6 to Aug. 11, 2021 (Summer Session 03).
This Residency is a distinctive, immersive experience that is not usually available for undergraduate students. In professional artist residencies, artists, designers, and creative thinkers work on projects, develop new ideas, and explore their creative practice in a focused studio environment and supportive community, removed from duties and distractions of everyday life.
The Residency package price features a summer course price reduction for each of the offered courses (FA385: Special Studies in Art and FA386: Special Studies in Art); a discounted bundled fee to cover materials/supplies, community activities, experiential programming, transportation for activities, and fully monitored studio access; and a $560 fee ONLY for those who choose to live in campus housing. As part of the Residency package price options, course tuition is significantly reduced from previous summer rates. You can contact the Financial Aid office to inquire about using financial aid.
