Visiting Writers Series Presents: Tom McAllister!

Wednesday, October 24, 2018 - 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Join us as Arcadia's Visiting Writers Series welcomes author Tom McAllister to the Rose Room Wednesday, October 24th at 6pm. Tom will be reading from and discussing his newest novel How To Be Safe.

Ron Charles of the Washington Post considers the novel "Like nothing else I’ve read, 'How to Be Safe' contains within its slim length the rubbed-raw anxieties, the slips of madness, the gallows humor and the inconsolable sorrow of this national pathology that we have nursed to monstrous dimensions."

Tom McAllister is the author of numerous novels, short stories, and essays. He is an Associate Professor in Temple University's First Year Writing Program, co-host of the Book Fight Podcast, and nonfiction editor at Barrelhouse press. Tom grew up in Philadelphia, graduated from La Salle University, and received an MFA from the University of Iowa.

This event is free and open to the public. We hope to see you there!
