As the kids make their way around the castle they get to explore a different activity in each of the rooms that represent a different Dr. Seuss book. In the Face, Foot, & Shout Room the kids can go from dancing along to music to having their favorite animals and superheroes painted on their faces.
In the Lorax Room children are able to do activities that are centered around nature, like planting a sunflower in a unique handmade bowl and learning about the lifespan of trees.
To quiet down from the high energy of the dance room and all the other fun activities, the kids can walk up to the landing of the castle for Story Time, where student volunteers read a book out loud.
Dr. Seuss’s most beloved character brought to life through Brandon Chorzelewski ’16 as the Cat in the Hat.
Our Dr. Seuss Day Celebration is an annual event held for Dr. Seuss' Birthday. It is a reading celebration for the small to the tall, pretty much anyone at all...
In 2015, over 100 children from the community participated in the event. Student volunteers from Arcadia work at various stations such as bingo, face painting, juggling, story telling, button making, and freeze dancing. Volunteers also donated decorated cakes that were judged by the children.
