Noelle Voges, a student in the Master of Public Health program, went to Takaungu, Kenya in the summer 2014 for her M.P.H. internship experience while working with the East African Center. Her activities included teaching health education courses in Primary Schools, assisting with sexual health courses for sub-populations within the villages, and helping out with the Kick Polio Out of Africa campaign.
Since returning to the United States, Noelle is currently in charge of East African Center's communications and social networking, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and monthly blog. She is also involved in the organization's grant research project to help finance young girls who wish to complete higher-level education.
