Guest speaker Penny Balkin Bach, Executive Director and Chief Curator of the Association for Public Art, will launch “Exploring Public Art: Legacy, Community, and Innovation” on Thursday, September 15 with her lecture, “Public Art in Philadelphia: Origins, Twists, and Trajectories”.
In addition to explaining how and why Philadelphia came to possess one of the most outstanding collections worldwide, Bach will survey the diversity of this rapidly evolving art form and the pioneering attitudes of civic leaders and artists working in a surprising array of media. More information.
