Student Health Insurance FAQs

When will I receive information about the student health insurance? 

A postcard will be mailed in April.

Where do I go to waive the student health insurance through United Healthcare because I already have coverage?

How soon can I waive coverage?  

The waiver site will be available beginning April 15, 2016.

What are the steps to waive coverage online?
  1. Go to
  2. Select “Find Your School” drop-down box and scroll down to Arcadia University
  3. When the Arcadia University page appears click on “Waive Your School’s Insurance” which is located on the left
  4. The Waiver page will appear so click on the “Waive Now” icon
  5. You will be asked to enter your date of birth and student ID number (do not use the letter “P” when entering your student ID number)
  6. If you waive coverage, you must provide information about your current health plan.  All of the information you need to complete your waiver appears on your insurance ID card.
Will I receive an email confirmation of my waiver? 


I already provided my health insurance to the Student Health Center and/or the Athletic Trainer.  Do I still need to complete the online waiver? 


I completed a waiver last year, so do I need to complete it again this year? 


What do I do if I want to enroll in the Student Health plan sponsored by Arcadia University? 

Follow the same instructions listed above and click on “Enroll Now”.

I understand if I do not complete a waiver I will automatically be enrolled in the student health plan, so if I need the coverage why should I go online to enroll? 

If you proactively enroll you will receive an email with your ID card within 24 hours. If you wait to be automatically enrolled you will not receive the email until late September.
