Ramirez Finnerty Named Philadelphia Distinguished Teacher

Arcadia alum Amalfi Ramirez Finnerty, a teacher at Edison High School, was named this week as a Philadelphia School District distinguished high school teacher. Born in Venezuela, Rameriz Finnerty has taught for 20 years in urban and suburban schools in both the United States and in Europe. 

She earned a bachelor of fine arts degree (cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania, a four-year certificate from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and a master's degree in Education from Arcadia University. She was awarded a J. William Fulbright Fellowship for teaching. See the PSD distinguished high school teachers here.
