Arcadia Grad Alum New Principal at Pennwood Middle School

Arcadia graduate Patricia Steckroat ’97M.Ed. is the new principal at Pennwood Middle School in Yardley, as reported in the Oct. 20 Yardley News  (Yardley, Pa.). “Steckroat replaced Fr. Kevin McHugh, who was promoted to assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction.  In summer 2008, she was named acting principal. When asked what her goals are, Steckroat said she plans to build upon the collaborative spirit that we already have in place. Together we will continue to promote student achievement and work hand-in-hand with our supportive parent community.”

Steckroat was quoted as saying that “Pennsbury offers a challenging academic program for its students, and it is a pleasure to be a part of this fine organization.”

Steckroat, an educator in the Pennsbury School District earned her M.Ed. in Reading and her certification as supervisor in special education in 1998.
