Foti: 'Hyper-local Journalism is the Keystone of a Community'

Kaitlyn Foti ’08 is the new Local Editor of the Chestnut Hill Patch, a community-specific news and information platform dedicated to providing local coverage of news, events, and the marketplace.
“There are a number of things you should know about me. I am a graduate of Arcadia University. I have spent a good number of weekends during my high school, college and post-college years in Chestnut Hill. I drive a 12-year-old maroon Corolla. I have seen Bruce Springsteen live in concert six times,” Foti writes.
“But most of all, what you need to know about me is that I am committed to community journalism. I spent the years since I graduated with a degree in print communications working as a community journalist in Montgomery County. It was during that time that I became convinced, not in a self-important way, I hope, that hyper-local journalism is the keystone of a community.” Read more.
