Murphy to Play Erste Dame in Mozart's 'The Magic Flute'

Adjunct Professor of Music Elizabeth Murphy will perform the role of Erste Dame (First Lady) in Mozart's The Magic Flute at Nicholas Music Center on Friday, Feb. 4, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m. The opera will be sung in German with English supertitles. Dialogue will be in English. Murphy has been teaching private voice at Arcadia since 2002. She is in the final year of her doctoral degree in voice from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J.
