Dr. William D. Biggs, Professor Emeritus, and former Chair of the Department of Business, Health Administration and Economics, recently returned from Warsaw, Poland, where he conducted two five-day Business Games and Simulations Implementation Seminar workshops at Kozminski University. Developed under a grant from the Fulbright Senior Specialists Program, the workshops were designed for individuals interested in computerized business simulations and the participants were university professors, Ph.D. candidates, and training and development directors from public and private organizations. Assistance in Poland was provided by Marcin Wardaszko and Jan Luszpianko.
Biggs joined the faculty at Arcadia in 1980 and was pivotal in moving the business administration curriculum toward a more applied focus. He was named the Arcadia University Professor of the Year in 2006 for his impressive teaching ability, the national reputation of his scholarly contributions, and the numerous service contributions he has made to his department, the University, and national professional associations.
