Bucks Local: Artwork by Schafer ’15 Featured at Superintendent's Office

October 18, 2011

Bucks Local News (Bucks County, Pa.) recently reported that Alexandra Schafer ’15 was one of seven students whose artwork was chosen to be displayed for one year in the superintendent’s office in Fallsington, Pa. Six these will be moved to other locations at the central administration office for permanent exhibition at the end of the academic year, as noted by Bucks Local contributor Petra Chesner Schlatter.

Alexandra Schafer of Falls Township, who is now studying art at Arcadia University, said she completed her winning still life in oil during 10th-grade.

“I stretched the canvas myself,” she said. “It was a really great experience. My teacher’s Tony Napoli, and it was the best year for me. I like to draw a lot, and I also like to paint. It shows here I guess. This was a still life I set up by myself.”
