Ambler Gazette: Elwork '04M Joins Friends at Arcadia

October 25, 2011

The Ambler Gazette recently interviewed Paul Elwork ’04M, author of The Girl Who Would Speak for the Dead, published by Amy Einhorn Books (Penguin Group, 2011). He was welcomed back to Arcadia on Oct. 21, through the University's Writers Return to Campus series.

"A small independent press, Casperian Books, first published the novel in a shorter version back in 2007. The novelist M.J. Rose took an interest in the book, introduced me to my agent, Dan Lazar, and Dan sold the book for re-release in a version with an expanded backstory to Amy Einhorn Books," recounts Elwork.

"I'm looking forward to seeing my friends at Arcadia and to meeting people kind enough to come out and listen to some guy read his book. Those interactions are what make such events special to me, not anything I'm doing up there at the podium."
