The Glenside News Globe Times Chronicle (Glenside, Pa.) reported on Arcadia University's annual Empty Bowl Benefit Dinner which will be held on Nov. 14, in Grey Towers Castle.
Everyone who attends will get to select a handcrafted bowl made by Arcadia students and local artists from the community. They can then fill their bowls, choosing from an assortment of soups, breads, and desserts—all donated by restaurants and individuals from in and around the Glenside area.
“Participants take their bowls home to serve as a reminder of the many people in the world who live with an empty bowl every day,” said Cindy Rubino, Arcadia’s community service coordinator.
For information on purchasing tickets, visit www.arcadia.edu/communityservice (click on the Empty Bowl link) or call Arcadia University’s Community Service Office at 215-572-4000.
