The Sentinel: Petrillo Pioneers Urbanization Study
October 28, 2011
The Sentinel (Vails Gate, N.Y.) recently reported on the research that local resident Robert (Bo) Petrillo ’12 is conducting with Dr. Christopher Binckley, Associate Professor of Biology. In the future, Petrillo hopes to publish the results of his study on urbanization and its affects on the stream salamander, as reported by Michele Starkey, Sentinel contributor.
"After his graduation next spring, Petrillo hotes to return to Arcadia for a Master of Arts in Environmental Education.
'I want to come back and keep a hand in my research for a little longer," he says. 'Then, hopefully another Biology major will want to take it over.'
Petrillo's father told us, 'Ultimately, Bo would like to settle into a position with the DEC in New York and work on either the Hudson River or the many lakes and streams we have here in his home state.'"
