The Reporter (Lansdale, Pa.) featured Victoria Ivery ’12 in the article "Job outlook may be improving for 2012 college grads," on June 24.
Victoria Ivery, 24, who graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in accounting from Arcadia University in May, will start her career in the auditing division of KPMG in Philadelphia in August.
The firm offered Ivery the job in December. During college, she did an internship as an accountant at a janitorial company and studied abroad in Dominica. Ivery compared that country’s tax structure with that in the United States and presented her findings at Arcadia.
“I think (the internship) was a really crucial determinant in their decision on whether to take me on and that I studied abroad,” she said.
“I’m really excited,” the Philadelphia resident said about starting her job.
