Hatboro-Horsham Patch: King of Prussia Campus to Launch Additional Offerings This Fall

July 18, 2012

On July 18, Hatboro-Horsham Patch reported on Arcadia University's School of Continuing Studies' collaboration with the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce, in providing continuing education offerings.

It is yet to be determined what will become of the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce’s early stage partnership with Arcadia University’s School of Continuing Studies. However, Arcadia University’s Dean of Continuing Studies, Erik Nelson, said it’s the King of Prussia-based school’s intention to launch offerings in Hatboro this fall “with the goal of releasing and offering additional programs in the months ahead.”

Arcadia officials last month met with focus groups comprised of 45 individuals representing Hatboro’s businesses, residents and charities, to determine how a continuing education program that would be tailored to the needs of Chamber members could be established in Hatboro.

"While the focus group information is preliminary at present, there are some indicators from Arcadia's perspective pertaining to what we see as possible course/program/workshop, credit and non-credit deliverables,” Nelson said in a statement provided to Patch. “I want to emphasize they are very preliminary at this juncture and require additional vetting to arrive at any concrete list of offerings.”
