October 28, 2012 Laura Baldwin

Sunday, October 28th, 2012 - Due to the severe weather from Hurricane Sandy forecasted to hit our local region, Arcadia University announces classes are cancelled and offices closed on Monday, October 29, 2012.

This decision is in effect for all Arcadia classes and events on our campuses in Christiana, DE, Glenside, PA, and King of Prussia, PA, as well as classes in Willow Grove. Our primary focus is the safety of all in the Arcadia community.

Staff performing essential services will be on duty. Arcadia University campus ground and safety crews are taking precautions to anticipate and minimize the impact of possible strong winds, flooding, power outages, and so on.

Our residence halls remain open, and staff are making preparations to respond to the weather related needs of our resident students and visiting scholars.

The University’s SendWordNow Emergency Notification System will be used to update the Arcadia community of information. Arcadia community members are urged to register/update their information immediately if they have not already done so.

Arcadia is also requesting all to stay informed of emergency reports from local news stations, and look to Arcadia’s Bulletin for the latest campus updates.
