Civil War Expert Paradis to Speak at 150th Gettysburg Reenactment

Dr. James M. Paradis, adjunct professor of history and author of African Americans and the Gettysburg Campaign, will speak at the 150th Reenactment of the Battle of Gettysburg in Gettysburg, Pa., on Friday, June 28, at 6 p.m. The very next day he will give a book talk at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Beverly, N.J. Sponsored by The Friends of the Beverly Free Library and the Riverfront Historical Society, the event begins at 2 p.m. and concludes with a buffet, “A Taste of Civil War Beverly,” inspired by Lincoln’s second inaugural ball.
