On Jan. 19 and 20, more than 100 volunteers donated their time for Arcadia’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Days of Service. Members of Arcadia’s baseball and equestrian teams, students, faculty, and other community members came together to shred paper, recycle electronics, and collect and transport donations.

Together, they sent two vans of goods to the Pennsylvania SPCA, 17 boxes of books to Philadelphia Reads Book Bank, one car of donations to Simply Equal Education, several items to The Baby Bureau, new socks to The Joy of Sox, and one truck of supplies to each of the following: New Life Thrift, Whosoever Gospel Mission, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and Cradles to Crayons. In addition, volunteers shredded 14.5 tons of paper through Shred One, recycled 10,483 tons of electronics through Urban Renewal, and disposed of 8,210 pounds of eWaste through eForce Recycling.
