Dr. James Capolupo, School of Continuing Studies Adjunct Faculty Member, Education Alum Named National Superintendent of the Year

Dr. James Capolupo, superintendent of Delaware County’s Springfield School District, was named 2014 Superintendent of the Year by the National Association of School Superintendents (NASS). Dr. Capolupo, who earned a Master of Arts in Education, a Certificate of Advanced Study, and a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility at Arcadia, also serves as an adjunct faculty member with the School of Continuing Studies, teaching courses in the Early Childhood Education programs.
Dr. Capolupo points to Arcadia’s small class sizes and unique approach as memorable factors in his experience.
“It all felt like it was customized for me, and I felt extremely prepared for the next level of my educational leadership journey,” said Dr. Capolupo.
Beth Specker, the School’s director of Education Initiatives, applauded Dr. Capalupo’s commitment to serving the education community so extensively.
“He is tireless in his efforts to bring about positive outcomes at every endeavor he pursues,” Specker said. “We are fortunate and proud to have him as an academic colleague and a member of our faculty.”
