Dr. Kira Baker-Doyle, director of literacies, technologies and citizenship studies programs, facilitated two webinars for the Connected Courses program, a professional development forum for Higher Education faculty interested in the use of connected technologies. The first webinar, which occurred on Sept. 29, 2014, was titled “Social Capital and Personal Learning Networks: Discovering, Building, and Cultivating Networks of Learners.” The second webinar, “Online Privacy, Trust, and Security,” held on Oct. 10, 2014, was co-facilitated by Dr. Baker-Doyle and Jonathan Worth, award-winning photographer, Coventry University professor and leading teacher of open-learning photography courses, including Phonar Nation.
Dr. Baker-Doyle published “Networks in Stories and Stories in Networks: A Tri-Modal Model for Mixed-Methods Research in Social Networks on Teachers” in the International Journal of Research and Method in Education in Summer 2014.
