Inman’s latest work honors the influence of Judith Taylor, former professor and program coordinator of photography at Arcadia, who passed away in 2010. The exhibition includes a selection of Taylor’s artwork alongside Inman’s series of photographs, The Weight of Grace, and explores the relationship between the works of mentor and mentee. Inman’s photos feature Taylor’s collection of vintage women’s gloves and are displayed with Taylor’s gold-toned prints of braids, a juxtaposition that highlights “a shared female experience,” according to CFEVA.
Inman, a CFEVA Visual Artist Fellow alumna, often captures aging objects in her work to celebrate their transformative nature. A 2015 recipient of a New Jersey Council on the Arts Individual Artist’s Grant, she has exhibited photos nationally and internationally. Her recent works include Faded, Cracked, Torn at St. Joseph’s University and Living Space, a video installation at Eastern State Penitentiary.
