The Philadelphia Tribune reported that Arcadia University will offer upperclassmen at The Promise Academy at Martin Luther King Jr. High School the opportunity to earn college credits as part of a dual enrollment program beginning in September.

“It’s a win-win situation where we can provide a service to the community, and students can come to Arcadia [and] increase the diversity we have on campus,” said Dr. Graciela Slesaransky-Poe, dean of the School of Education.

Students may take basic courses in criminal justice, psychology, and sociology at a discounted price. The program is designed to familiarize high school students with higher education before they matriculate at a college or university.
