published January 7, 2016Arcadia University’s Art Gallery and its curator, Richard Torchia, were highly praised in a Dec. 15 post on the Cue Art Foundation's online publication, On-Verge.org. Artist and critic Daniel Gerwin wrote that he “regularly had [his] mind blown by Arcadia’s shows, including of Ray Johnson, and Martha Wilson.”
Gerwin wrote that Torchia’s selection of exhibitions highlights artists that are not regularly shown, but are outstanding in their craft. Torchia stated that the exhibitions “need to be seen now and might not otherwise be presented to the community we serve…[while] attempting to avoid any redundancy or complicity with the marketplace.”
