School of Education professor Linda Ruth Paskell '81, '96M.Ed. will be the Artist-in-Residency at the Green Olive Arts in Tetouan, Morocco, this July as she continues her photography project, “Color of Poverty.”
This project brings awareness about struggles facing women in poverty around the world. Paskell hopes to capture photos of the day-to-day struggles of the Moroccan people and incorporate them into her lessons on poverty and community service. Paskell plans to work with site directors during her residency to create an educational experience abroad for Arcadia students at Green Olive Arts, an arts initiative to help Moroccan culture flourish, and develop connections with the global artist community.
After her residency, Paskell will travel to Ghana, where she has been invited to work with orphanages, schools, and women living in poverty.
