Physical Therapy alumna Jodee Fortner ’99 was featured in the Big Rock Eddies Short Film Festival winner Olga- An Arequipa Story. The film showcased the story of 12-year-old Olga, of Arequipa, Peru, as she was treated by Fortner to correct her congenital clubfoot over three years at MMI Peru’s Hope and Health Clinic.
Fortner was first exposed to international service as a Physical Therapy student. She traveled to Mexico and Jaimaca during her course work at the University for pro bono service. Since then, she has come full circle and now supervises Physical Therapy students from Arcadia when they travel to Peru. So far, she has overseen 39 students.
