Richard Torchia, Arcadia University Art Gallery director, was selected as one of 13 curators to participate in “Unlisted,” an exhibition hosted by Icebox Project Space and Marginal Utility. The show runs until Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Crane Arts Building in Philadelphia.
Each curator was invited to organize a small exhibition for the exhibition, which employs the format of an art fair.
Torchia selected two new wall reliefs by Robert Younger, who was born and raised in Philadelphia and participated in the city's artist-run activities in the 1970s before moving to New York City. He now resides in Maine.
In her Aug. 28 review in The Philadelphia Inquirer, art critic Edith Newhall called the exhibition an “art fair that's strictly about the art” and included Torchia’s presentation of Younger’s work among its highlights.
