Valerie Levicoff Plays Solo in Bryn Athyn Orchestra, Oct. 23

Valerie Levicoff, adjunct professor of Music and director of Arcadia’s string ensemble, will perform a solo in the Bryn Athyn Orchestra on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 3 p.m. at the Mitchell Performing Arts Center.

A violin soloist and concertmaster, Levicoff began playing violin at the age of six and grew up taking private lessons from members of the Philadelphia Orchestra. The Philadelphia native earned a bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts and a master’s in Education from LaSalle University. She performs with the Reading Symphony, Warminster Symphony, and Bryn Athyn orchestras as a principal or assistant in each. Levicoff was selected in 2007 for Marquis’ Who’s Who of American Women.
