In August, Early Elementary and Special Education student Olivia Bates ’18 was awarded the J. Jay Hostetler Scholarship for undergraduate student teachers from the international honor society Kappa Delta Pi. Bates was one of 38 students selected nationwide to receive the $500 scholarship.
Founded in 1911, Kappa Delta Pi is a dynamic learning community that recognizes and enhances growth in scholars and leaders by promoting excellence in education, providing a reasoned voice for significant issues, and linking learning communities of educators.
